Q & A With Wedding Crafts Academy Owner Ivana!
Q: How long have you been interested in wedding crafts and blogging?
A: I’ve always loved crafts! As far as I remember, I’ve been always making something. The first time I made a bridal tiara was in 2007. As for active blogging, I became an active blogger in June 2019, although I did write a few online articles before then.}
Q: Do you do this full time, part-time or as a side hustle/hobby?
A: Full time, including many evenings and weekends.
Q: What are your goals for your craft/business in the next 1-3 years?
A: My main passion is teaching others. I would love to have even more students enrolling in my online courses and support them on their journey.
Jenn: I Wish You much success! I love that you share your expertise and teach it to the world at Wedding Crafts Academy.
Stay tuned for an announcement at the end of the interview!
Q: What is your greatest achievement /proudest accomplishment?
A: I made a few pieces for a film (Ultra Obscura) and had the chance to attend the film set. It was quite fascinating to watch filming in person. Being behind-the-scenes just in case a headpiece needs to be adjusted did make me feel special.
Jenn: That is amazing! How cool is that!
Q: What are your main focuses for growing your craft/business?
A: As I’ve decided to follow the path of sharing my skills with others, my main objective is supporting students.
“Do what you love and love what you do”
My business motto is “Do what you love and love what you do” so my main focus is on helping others to build the career of their dreams.
Q: Where do you promote your items and business?
A: I promote my courses on social media, podcasts, videos, trade shows, events and blogs. In other words, anywhere I can!
Jenn: That is amazing! All your hard work is sure to pay off!
Q: Do you do trade shows/craft fairs or have a storefront?
A: I cover many trade shows as a blogger, mostly in and around London (UK). I love giving demonstrations and talks as well.
Q: Where is your business located, or area you serve or online URL?
A: I am based in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, UK but my website Wedding Crafts Academy does have visitors from all over the world!
Q: What or who inspired you to take this path?
A: It all started with my own wedding plans. I often describe my business as a hobby that got out of control and took over my life. I think that the term “craft-aholic” describes me well.}
Q: Do you have any big events happening right now?
A: I am giving a speech at The Big Bead Show in Surrey, U.K. in March. The workshop is aimed at beaders who want to break into the wedding industry.
Jenn: Wow that sounds incredible!
Pin for later!
